I’ve had varying reports recently – if there are two of you I’d get one of each, as there seems to be coverage with the eSim where there isn’t with the physical sim and vice versa. I’ve had one reader who had problems with the esim, but I’ve got the Gigsky customer service team helping them with a refund. And I’ve never had that with Suena, when there were problems. So swings and roundabouts. Sorry its not a real answer, but its much like a lot of Cuba, sometimes one is better than the other and there are many things to factor in.

Unless the deal specifically says unlimited, then its not. It tends not to be unlimited for WhatsApp and Social in Cuba. You can try and esim, from Gigsky, for data only also

Hi Maria – it depends. What do you want to use it for? Calls? Using the internet? SMS? And where are you from? You need to check if your current cell phone provider allows roaming in Cuba, and it will be a specific question to them whether its allowed in Cuba. Then check what the cost is. Depending on what you want to use it for calls/internet etc you are likely to be better off buying a SIM card (or an eSIM if your phone allows for it), and using that while you are in Cuba.
